  • CSR Gyprock 10mm Supaceil Plasterboard RE CSR Gyprock 10mm Supaceil Plasterboard RE

CSR Gyprock 10mm Supaceil Plasterboard RE

Gyprock Supaceil was the first product in Australia manufactured with Optimised Core technology which provides an advanced performance-to-weight ratio, meaning greater breaking strength in a substantially lighter board that continues to exceed the performance requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 2588. This improved strength ensures it will stay flatter, even when installed on ceiling joists with 600mm centres. There is also less chance of fixings pulling through the board when extra pressure from above is applied such as heavy ceiling insulation. The board’s thicker face paper produces a crisper score and snap experience with cleaner cuts and squarer edges. Typical Applications Gyprock Supaceil is typically used as a superior ceiling lining option in residential applications and can be used to span up to 600mm joist centres. CSR Gyprock 10mm Aquachek Plasterboard RE

Gyprock Aquachek 10mm offers the same moisture resistance and tile weight capacity, now in a lighter board that is easier to work with. The 10mm wall and ceiling plasterboard is designed as the perfect lining for wet areas in residential applications. Product Overview The core, face and back of Gyprock Aquachek 10mm are treated to make it resistant to moisture and humidity without compromising integrity. It is specifically designed for use as a wall and ceiling lining in wet areas of residential buildings. It can be easily identified by its blue coloured face paper. Gyprock Aquachek 10mm is manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of water-resistant grade gypsum plasterboard as per AS/NZ 2588 Gypsum Plasterboard and satisfies the requirements of the Building Code of Australia for wet area wall linings in residential buildings when installed according to Gyprock installation guides. Refer to Australian Standard AS3740 - Waterproofing of Wet Areas in Residential Buildings for additional requirements. Typical Applications In residential projects Gyprock Aquachek 10mm is ideal for use in bathrooms, laundries, ensuites, toilets and protected external ceilings like soffits and verandahs. Because Aquachek 10mm is not subject to moisture movement and has extremely low water absorption characteristics, it provides an excellent, stable substrate for ceramic tiles. Tested Moisture Performance Gyprock wet area plasterboard products are manufactured with special additives to enhance the moisture resistance of their core. The additives also permeates the face and back paper of the board, delivering superior performance in wet area and high humidity applications. Water resistance Water resistance is tested by submerging a sample of plasterboard in a body of water for two hours. Surface water resistance Surface water resistance testing sees the plasterboard sample weighed pre-and-post surface exposure to water. CSR Gyprock 13mm Soundchek Plasterboard RE

Gyprock Soundchek provides sound control worth shouting about. This high density gypsum plasterboard has improved sound transmission properties to help maintain the peace when used in residential and commercial walls and ceilings. Product Overview Gyprock Soundchek features a specially formulated dense core to increase its sound transmission performance and provide a higher level of soft and hard body impact resistance. Soundchek provides effective airborne noise and impact noise insulation. Higher levels of noise control can be achieved by including bulk acoustic insulation in the Soundchek wall cavity.  Gyprock Soundchek is easily identified by the yellow colour of the face paper.  Typical Applications: Gyprock Soundchek is available in two thicknesses. Typically the 10mm product is used in residential walls and ceilings to create quiet zones and reduce disturbance from other activities within the home. It is ideal for use around studies, nurseries, bedrooms, laundries, ensuites, home theatres and for ceilings between storeys.  The 13mm product is suitable for use in commercial projects in areas where noise transfer can be a concern such as; meeting rooms, intertenancy walls in multi-residential developments, bedrooms and ensuites in hotels and hospitals, acoustic bulkheads and shafts.   Gyprock Soundchek is not suitable where it would be in contact with water or a constant relative humidity above 90%. Superior Acoustic Performance Gyprock acoustic plasterboard products fall into two categories – those for preventing sound transmission, and those designed to provide sound absorption. Sound transmission products are manufactured with a denser core, providing a physical barrier to prevent sound moving to adjoining spaces. Absorptive plasterboard products feature perforations to help reduce echo and improve acoustics within a room. While the selection of an acoustic plasterboard lining alone will improve performance, CSR provides a range of wall and ceiling systems which deliver superior results for transmission or absorption, through a combination of plasterboard, insulation, fixing methods, plenums and framing configuration. Product Options Gyprock Soundchek is available the following sizes: Thickness 10mm13mm Widths 1200mm1350mm Lengths 2400mm2700mm3000mm3600mm4200mm4800mm Edge Profiles Recessed Edge for regular jointing Manufacturing Tolerances Nominal Thickness 10mm ± 0.4mm, 13mm ± 0.5mm Nominal Widths 1200mm ± 3mm, 1350mm ± 3mm Nominal Lengths From 2400 to 4800 ± 5mm, typically in 600mm increments Squareness Cut ends ± 3mm in the width of the board Physical Properties  10mm  13mm Nominal Board Weight* 9.3kg/m2 13kg/m2 Thermal Resistance 0.04 – 0.05 m2K/W 0.05 – 0.07 m2K/W Fire Hazard Properties∆ Group No = 1SMOGRARC <100 m2/s2 Combustibility◊ Plasterboard may be used wherever a non-combustible material is required.
